The Divorce Papers are piece of evidence in L.A. Noire, the are featured in "The Silk Stocking Murder" case.


Antonia Maldonado petitioned for a Superior Court's case for a divorce from her husband and later received a letter from her attorney informing her of her date of appeal. Soon after, Antonia received divorce papers and with them was finally able to separate from her husband, on the grounds of him being a cruel husband. While drinking at the El Dorado Bar, Antonia became extremely drunk and publicly ranted her intention to divorce her husband. She left the bar but accidentally left the divorce papers behind, though the bartender held onto them for safe keeping.

Events of L.A. Noire

While investigating Antonia's murder, Detectives Cole Phelps and Rusty Galloway investigated by following leads and retracing Antonia's movements. During which, they found Antonia's letter from her attorney and recovered the divorce papers from Diego at the bar. Phelps and Galloway drew their attention towards Angel hence arrested and interrogated him. Phelps suspected Angel murdered Antonia, motivated by domestic violence from the divorce proceedings and used the divorce papers as evidence to support his suspicions. However Clem Feeney was later arrested and charged instead.
