I found several sculptures of "bull carved in stone" in Freixinet central forest (NE. of Spain).
The first megalithic European dolmen inspiration was a natural huge image of uro (Bos primigenius), that stand at Mt. Montserrat, in Catalonia. There you can see a huge part of the mountain that look like a bull (in North side).
The first prehistoric priest projected the idea of a ritual sculpure to the NW,,...ever it was possible, looking for the sun of the afternoon.
His idea rises to made many dolmen when cross the French country in diagonal SE-NW.
In the central forest of Catalonia, in Solsona country, everybody can see several sculptures of bull's head in stone, and also a big dolmen.
There I believe that was the first cradle of megalithic European bull-totem veneration.
The second projection to NW, help, was another figurative image of "bull dead". This is until today the name of the mountain Boumort, is located in the southern part of the county of Pallars, in the Lleida (Catalonia- Spain), and can be seen in its entirety to the East of the Tremp city.
After many years of my youth when, in vain, tray to locate how hilly that gives a profile of a bovine body fallen, ...but I found it at last!.
