Grauman's Chinese Theatre is a location and a landmark in L.A. Noire. It is located in the Hollywood District on Hollywood Blvd. between Orchid Ave. and Orange Dr.

It's near two other landmarks: opposite Hotel Roosevelt across Hollywood Blvd and a block west of the Max Factor Building.

In-Game Description[]

The result of a partnership between showman Sid Grauman and backer C.E. Toberman, Grauman's Chinese Theatre opened with the premiere of Cecil B. DeMille's "The King of Kings" and has been hosting gala ceremonies ever since.

Events of L.A. Noire[]

In the case "Manifest Destiny", Mickey Cohen sent two masked gunmen here to kill John Higgins and Patrick Connolly in order to put pressure on Courtney Sheldon, but luckily they were saved. Shortly thereafter, two detectives Cole Phelps and Roy Earle chased these two and killed them.

Collectibles[]

  • A badge for the Badge Pursuit Challenge is found directly to the left of the entrance, a few steps away from the red awning.

Trivia[]

The Theatre is well-known for its collection of hand and footprints in the concrete patio outside. Unfortunately none of these are visible in the version featured in L.A. Noire.
