Gloria Bishop is a character in L.A. Noire. She is a person of interest in the Traffic case The Fallen Idol.
Biography[]
Background[]
A Hollywood actress, Gloria pursued an acting career at a young age. In 1942, while on set, she worked and became affiliated with June Ballard though she developed a strong dislike for her. Gloria also met movie producer Mark Bishop. She became enamored with his work and talent in movies. They eventually got married while she was at the age of sixteen. However, as her fascination and naivety subsided at the age of twenty, Gloria realized that Mark was merely a "B-movie hack". Even worse, he was a sex offender with a preference for young girls, although Gloria rationalized that young actresses would always be exploited, and that Mark was a lesser evil compared to other "monsters" in the movie industry. She remained married to Mark, however her feelings for him were rather ambiguous.
Events of L.A. Noire[]
June Ballard pushed insults and threats towards Mark and Gloria in order to secure a part in Bishop's new film, although she was turned down. After Mark attempted to murder June, she survived and called for thugs to attack Bishop at his apartment, though Bishop was in hiding hence they attacked Gloria. Detectives Phelps and Bekowsky arrived and subdued Gloria's assailants. They then questioned her revealing her husband's murder attempt. Despite her lack of concern and less forthcoming attitude, Gloria revealed background information on Bishop, Ballard and Marlon Hopgood. Mark was later arrested for rape and 2 counts of attempted murder.
