While she was unconscious, Marlon Hopgood filmed. Jessica told her aunt of this but she merely rebuked her, telling her to "toughen up" in order to be a star. June in actuality planned this, exploiting Jessica's naivety and allowing her to be raped so that June could get a chance to blackmail Bishop. Jessica and June were later drugged and placed in a car. Bishop attempted to murder the both of them to cover up the rape and escape blackmail by faking a car accident. The car accelerated off an escarpment but the two miraculously survived the crash when the car hit a support post under a Cola King sign.

The Fallen Idol[]
- "Um... okay."
- "Oh, you don't need to worry them. They sent me along to stay with Aunt June. They trust her to take care of me."
- "Please. Please don't do that. My Daddy will kill me."
- "Please, please don't call Daddy. Why are you being so horrible to me? Can't you see what I've been through?"
- "Please, Detective. Why would I lie to you?"
- "Can't you just let me rest?"
- "I went with Junie to this strange place... it's difficult to remember. Someone gave me a drink to calm my nerves and then I felt faint. I think I must have passed out."
- "It's all kind of fuzzy. I remember waking up here. Nothing happened yesterday."
- "Someone wants to kill me? I wouldn't know anything about that. I just went along with Junie. She knows all about the movie business."
- "Please, I want my doctor. I'm not sure I can answer any more questions right now."
- "I'm not lying to you."
- "I'm tired, Detective, and this has been all so awful. Please, please, just leave me alone."
- "The doctor told me what happened. I... I didn't want that. I just wanted to be a star - to be in movies. I told Junie what happened, and she told me to toughen up. That that was the price of stardom."
- "]It's not Junie's fault. It's not my first time. I had a boyfriend back home. But, my father found out about him."
- "Well, Junie is a big movie star. You probably know that. She's doing a new movie."
- "He makes movies. I had to do a screen test. That's when you say some lines in front of the camera with the lights turned on you."
- "That can't be true. Mr Bishop seemed very happy today. I mean... yesterday."
- "I overheard Junie speaking to him on the phone a couple of times. Screaming, really... she can be very hard sometimes, Junie. But they seemed okay yesterday... like they worked it out."
- "I don't know what you are talking about. Mr Bishop makes movies. That's all I know."
- "Please - I don't feel well. Do I have to keep answering questions?"
- "Please... it's scary. It's really difficult to think of anything..."
- "I had to wear a robe... and lay down on a stone... there were lights, a camera. It's not my fault. I'm not a bad girl. Why are you trying to hurt me?"
- "I am telling the truth! I don't know where the place is. I barely know this city."
- "I think you should leave now. You're being horrible to me."
- "I remember the mermaid."
- "No, it was on the front of a building. We pulled up in front of the mermaid."
- "Okay."
- "I couldn't do that, Officer. What if I got the part and I wasn't there?"
- "Are you crazy? I can't go home. I want to be a star."
- "If you have more questions, could you ask them now? All I want to do is sleep."
- "I've told you all I know. I need to sleep now."
- "The doctor said that I have to rest."
- "You're making me uncomfortable, just standing around here looking at me, not saying anything."
- "No, that's enough. You leave me alone now or I will scream for the nurse."
- "A little. My head still feels swimmy."
