Pershing Square is a location and a landmark in L.A. Noire. It is a famous park in Downtown, Los Angeles located at 532 S. Olive St. It is named in honor of American general, John Joseph "Black Jack" Pershing.

In-Game Description[]

LA's most famous architect John Parkinson redesigned this site in 1910, adding a grand fountain supported by concrete cherubs. In 1918 the park was renamed after General John J. Pershing, and it played host to recruitment rallies throughout WW2.

Collectibles[]

  • A badge in the Badge Pursuit Challenge can be found here on a table in front of the Yellow and Green Trolley-Dogs Hot Dog Stand near the park's center.

Trivia[]

  • In the south-east corner of Pershing Square, on the east side of Hill Street, there is a store called Haskell's Finest Men's Wear. This is a reference to the character Charles Haskell Jr. from 1945's Detour, a classic film noir which can be seen, in game, on theatre marquees throughout the city.
  • The top of the water fountain can only be explored during the relevant scripted scene in The Quarter Moon Murders.
  • A petition has been launched, calling for the restoration of the now mostly concrete park to its tree-filled appearance in the L.A. Noire era. The organizers are using in-game videos to illustrate what they hope to accomplish.
