The Los Angeles Times is a daily newspaper published in Los Angeles since 1881. It's based in the Los Angeles Times Building. In 1947, the publisher Norman Chandler made the Los Angeles Times prosper and the newspaper gained regional, as well as national, prominence. That same year, it became the largest-circulation newspaper in Los Angeles. It is presumed that Dan Ryckert will play reporter with the paper. In L.A. Noire, the player can read newspapers and not only be informed of events happening in game, events associated with the choices made by Cole and at the time, but can access side-stories that go along with the game's initial plot. "Red Dead Redemption", another game published by Rockstar Games has the ability to buy a newspaper but can only report on events happening in game as well as choices associated with the player.
