Morgan Boehringer is a character in L.A. Noire.
Biography[]
Background[]
Morgan was once in a relationship with the much younger Joanna Alford.
Events of L.A. Noire[]
Boehringer is encountered during the Street Crime "Vengeful Ex", in which he is physically abusing and aiming a pistol at his ex-girlfriend, Joanna Alford. When Patrol Officer Martin Mathiason attempts to calm Morgan down, Morgan gets more irate and shoots the officer, killing him instantly. Detectives Cole Phelps and Rusty Galloway then arrive on scene, and Morgan begins to flee. When Boehringer flees from the detectives, he runs into a nearby street, causing a large truck to veer off the road and strike Joanna. Boehringer was wounded in a shootout shortly after. A person who looks like Boehringer later makes an appearance in the Arson case A Walk in Elysian Fields.
Murders Committed[]
- Officer Martin Mathiason - shot by Morgan for interfering in his argument.
Trivia[]
- There is a 50/50 chance that Morgan will be killed when the player shoots him. The outcome is simply chance, as sometimes when Phelps calls on the police radio he may request a coroner or an ambulance.
- Despite this chance, Morgan will still turn up alive in the Arson case A Walk in Elysian Fields, suggesting he was either found not guilty or that the ensuing events of Vengeful Ex are non canon, in the sense that canonically Phelps and Galloway do not respond to call, resulting in a different sequence of events.
