"I nearly got a mouthful of lead for my trouble."
Officer Isaac Kelly

"Pawnshop Holdup" is a Traffic street crime case in L.A. Noire.

Situation[]

LAPD Detectives Cole Phelps and Stefan Bekowsky respond to a bulletin from KGPL and arrive at the scene to find Officer Isaac Kelly pinned down near the pawnshop's front door. Kelly explains that earlier, three men attempted to quietly rob the shop at gunpoint, but when Kelly noticed what was happening and tried to intervene, the thieves took two hostages and barricaded themselves inside. He offers to keep them distracted with covering fire while Phelps and Bekowsky use the unguarded rear loading dock to enter the shop and deal with the crooks.

Dispatch Call Script[]

Dispatch: 11K, your help call is at Globe Loan and Jewelry, 333 South Main Street. It's a Code Three.

Walkthrough[]

Phelps will follow Bekowsky to the rear of the store, while Kelly gets wounded trying to distract the criminals. After Phelps crosses through the loading dock and breaks down the back door, he will initiate a shootout with two of the robbers.

The robber carrying a semi-automatic pistol is the easier of the two to kill since he is crouched near the stairs. The other is armed with a shotgun and has little cover near the lockers, although he is capable of dealing much more damage at such a close range.

The third and final robber panics, kills one of the hostages, and takes pawnbroker David Bremner up to the roof as a human shield. After ascending the stairs, Phelps will confront the hostage-taker as he holds a short-barreled revolver to Bremner's head. If Phelps is able to kill him in time, Bremner's life will be saved, and the case will end in success.
