Ella Fitzgerald was a well known Jazz musician before, after and during the 1940's. She was very well known for her beautiful voice and distinctive accent. Ella Fitzgerald also made songs with Louis Armstrong who also has one or more songs in L.A. Noire. It has been confirmed by Rockstar that one or more of her songs will be in L.A. Noire.
