"I need guys, Detective. This boom is a once in a lifetime opportunity."
―Ivan Rasic

Ivan Rasic is a character in L.A. Noire. He is a person of interest in "The Gas Man" case.

Biography

Background

Rasic worked as one of the duty managers at InstaHeat, handling day to day affairs and staff of the factory. With the Suburban Redevelopment Fund building new houses for returning GIs, InstaHeat had a high demand of water heaters to install for the new houses. However, they were generally installing the model 70, an older and cheaper model, that were potentially faulty. Furthermore, Rasic was shorthanded for installers, hence he hired Matthew Ryan, Reginald Varley and Walter Clemens, overlooking Ryan's arson charges, Varley's murder warrant, and Clemens' arson related crimes.

Events of L.A. Noire

Unfortunately, the water heaters of several houses were sabotaged, causing house fires. The fires were investigated by Detectives Cole Phelps and Herschel Biggs. They visited the factory for leads on the model 70. During questioning, Rasic reluctantly revealed that the model 70 had flaws, and that he hired convicted felons in order to complete the water heater demands for the SRF.
