A 15-year-old Hollywood hopeful from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with aspirations of being a movie star and strongly admired her aunt, actress June Ballard. June offered Jessica to take her to Los Angeles, promising a chance to audition for movie roles and to pursue her dream of stardom. Jessica ran away from her home with June but without her parents' permission.
In Los Angeles, Jessica met movie producer Mark Bishop and went to a casting at The Silver Screen Prop Store. During the "casting", Jessica was drugged and was molested by Bishop. While she was unconscious, Marlon Hopgood filmed. Jessica told her aunt of this but merely rebuked her, telling her to "toughen up" in order to be a star. June in actuality planned this, exploiting Jessica's naivety and allowing her to be raped so that June could get a chance to blackmail Bishop. Jessica and June were later drugged and placed in a car. Bishop attempted to murder the both of them to cover up the rape and escape blackmail by faking a car accident. The car accelerated off an escarpment but the two miraculously survived the crash when the car hit a support post under a Cola King sign.
