- "Mind your own goddamn business! Why is everybody always on my case?!"
- ―Morgan Boehringer
Morgan was once in a relationship with the much younger Joanna Alford.
Events of L.A. Noire
Boehringer is encountered during the Street Crime "Vengeful Ex", in which he is physically abusing and aiming a pistol at his ex-girlfriend, Joanna Alford. When Patrol Officer Martin Mathiason attempts to calm Morgan down, Morgan gets more irate and shoots the officer, killing him instantly. Detectives Cole Phelps and Rusty Galloway then arrive on scene, and Morgan begins to flee. When Boehringer flees from the detectives, he runs into a nearby street, causing a large truck to veer off the road and strike Joanna. Boehringer was killed (or wounded, see Trivia) in a shootout shortly after.
He appears once again in A Walk in Elysian Fields, serving as Herbert Chapman's gardener. He directs Phelps and Galloway to Chapman's nearby vehicle and goes on his way. His appearance is considered an oversight, seeing as he was either killed or arrested in the street crime.
- Officer Martin Mathiason - shot by Morgan for interfering in his argument.
- Morgan also appears in the Arson case, "A Walk in Elysian Fields". He is the gardener for Herbert Chapman whom Phelps questions. Even though this is the same character, his appearance comes with a lack of logic. In Vengeful Ex, he is usually killed. If not, he should be in prison by this time, which makes competently no sense.
- There is a 50/50 chance that Morgan will be killed when the player shoots him. The outcome is simply chance, as sometimes when Phelps calls on the police radio he may request a coroner or an ambulance.
