"The Blue Line" is a Vice street crime case in L.A. Noire.


A gang of bank robbers has been at their safehouse. Detectives Cole Phelps and Roy Earle arrive on the scene to find a shootout between members of the gang and officers in the Los Angeles Police Department. Upon arrival, Officer Harvey Keller explains the situation to Phelps and Earle before the police move in on the robbers.

Dispatch Call Script

Dispatch: Any unit in the vicinity, officer needs assistance, 1825 North Highland Avenue. 1825 North Highland Avenue. Unit to handle, Code two identify.

Cole Phelps: This is car 11K. Go ahead with the further.

Dispatch: Roger, 11K. Officer needs assistance on the grounds of the estate at 1825 North Highland Avenue, multiple suspects to be taken into custody. Be advised, suspects are armed and dangerous. 11K, Code Two.

Cole Phelps: Roger. 11K en route.


Immediately after being briefed by Keller, police forces begin to move in on the robbers. There is a gangster directly ahead, taking cover behind a car. Another is to the left, inside the frame of a house that is being built. Once these two are dead, police move towards the house. The remaining gangsters have taken cover around the garage. Once the two closest ones have been killed, the final one attempts to get into a car. He can easily be shot and killed before he makes his escape.

Note: The gangsters will armed with Thompson M1, so stay in cover. Even if you fail to shoot the final gunman, Roy will take care of him, and you don't have to worry about him too much.
