Walter Clemens is a character in L.A. Noire. He is one of the suspects in the arson case The Gas Man.

Biography

Background

Clemens worked as an installer throughout his entire working life. At one point, he was married, and proudly helped built and installed the water heater system into their house. Clemens eventually discovered that his wife was cheating on him with several men when he wasn't home, hence Clemens filed a divorce. His wife was given the house in the divorce settlement, much to Clemens' anger and frustration. Clemens got payback by burning the house to the ground but was arrested and charged with first degree arson and sentenced to four years in prison.

Events of L.A. Noire

After serving his prison term, Clemens resumed work as an installer and mainly contracted for InstaHeat. His criminal record was overlooked by Ivan Rasic and InstaHeat, due to the need to hire more installers to meet the Suburban Redevelopment Fund's high demand for water heater. Because of his criminal record, Clemens became a suspect for series of arsons and was questioned by Detectives Cole Phelps and Herschel Biggs. Despite his previous arson charge, they deduced that Clemens was not responsible.
